We love coffee. Coffee is one of those incredible gifts from nature that we’re not quite sure how we could ever live without! Coffee grows near to the equator line in countries like Columbia, Indonesia, Ethiopia, and more. Coffee comes from small beans that are roasted, ground, and steeped in hot water to create a delicious brown liquid.
Coffee comes in all different shapes and sizes these days. The purest form is espresso. Espresso is the most concentrated form of coffee and is the basis of the Americano, Latte, Cappuccino, Flat White, etc coffees. Though not all coffee is vegan, when wondering is espresso vegan, the answer is yes.
Espresso is just coffee and water so it is vegan. Once you start adding milk is when it can potentially become non-vegan. When wondering is all coffee is vegan, most European countries use dairy milk to make their coffee drinks. However, in most of the Western world, you can get your coffee plant-based.

Equal Exchange’s Organic Ground Coffee is a great place to start. They roast and grind Arabica beans that are grown totally organically and ethically. Their red packaging makes it look almost like bbq charcoal but it is far from that! We have two fantastic roasts to choose from.
Portfolio Coffee is one of our favorite vegan coffee brands. This single-origin Brazillian coffee is one of our absolute favorites. The rich, decadent flavors shine through this fantastic espresso. It’s oh-so-easy to love this coffee.
Enhanced Coffee
At PlantX, we are very health conscious. We are always researching and discovering new products to contribute to our overall health. Since turning vegan, our eyes have been opened to so many new possibilities and concepts surrounding health that we are intrigued by. That being said, we are very opposed to gimmicky health trends.
