Have you tried Grüner Veltliner yet? This Austrian grape variety has been brought to New Zealand for the first time, and Jules reckons it’s about time too. This stunning little white grape is, as she cheekily describes, ‘the illegitimate love child of Riesling and Pinot Gris.’ This New Zealand newbie is taut, aromatic, and crunchy. This fresh white wine has a lime and celery tang. Not too intense, it’s fresh and easy to drink with a good zesty bite. With a meticulous acid balance, this dry white carries initial aromas of freshly mown grass followed by a soft mouthfeel containing tree fruit notes such as green apple and pear. Pale gold in color and a medium-light body.
100% Grüner Veltliner Grapes. Contains sulfites.

Try this well-balanced bottle of white with mushroom and chive dumplings - and don’t forget the chili oil! The perfect harmony of blossom and white pepper in the Grüner Veltliner complements the sweet-yet-spicy symphony of East Asian dumplings like nothing else.
