Smoky Salt & Pepper Tofu Marinade
Ingredients:
- Extra Firm Tofu
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave nectar
- 2 tablespoons tamari or low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Maldon Smoked Sea Salt Flakes
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- A pinch of ground black peppercorns
Method: Dice the Tofu into even cubes. Place in a ziplock freezer bag, or airtight container, and add all other ingredients. Zip closed and shake! Leave to marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 30 mins, and a maximum of 4 days. It can even be placed in the freezer.
Cook as desired! Recommended in stir fry, oven-baked, flash-fried, or added to curries.
