Why Does Raaka Use Unroasted Cacao Beans?

Raaka uses unroasted whole cacao beans because it allows people to taste the true fruity flavor of chocolate, as it should be! Although roasting cacao gives chocolate that flavor we all adore, it also wipes out the delicate taste of chocolate that not many people are familiar with.

Instead of roasting its beans, Raaka allows it to undergo a natural fermentation process which heats up the beans to 120°F. After all, if the beans are left in their ‘true form’, they wouldn’t taste nice at all!
