Product Overview

Who doesn’t love hummus with a blend of garlic? A zesty freshness, perfect for the summer. But black garlic, you wonder…. Well, Hope’s Black Garlic Hummus secret lies in the process of preparing the garlic gloves which gives you a slightly more mellow taste.

The garlic cloves are heated at 140º Fahrenheit for 30-40 days, becoming black after that time. Hope’s Black Garlic Hummus also provides you with a rather caramelized and roasted flavor

Spread it, dip it or simply spoon it. This hummus offers many ways to be consumed. Add it to your red cabbage slaw, or on your pizza instead of tomato sauce - you will love the outcome.

Due to its fresh ingredients and non-artificial preservation, this product needs to be refrigerated. However, if you don’t feel like eating it soon after the purchase, you can even put it in the freezer. Once defrosted it might just need a little stir to make it look just as engaging as before.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the garlic in Hope Black Garlic Hummus black?

The black color is essentially an extreme caramelization. The natural sugars in the garlic become caramelized over 30-40 days at a very low temperature of 140º Fahrenheit. The Maillard reaction turns the brown garlic black over this time.
