ABOUT RIPPLE JADE SUCCULENT

The Ripple Jade or Curly Jade is a unique succulent, sought after by beginner and seasoned plant enthusiasts because of its foliage. It is a variation of the traditional Jade plant and has characteristic thin wavy leaf margins. It has a bonsai type base and sturdy branches of jade leaves lined with brownish-red margins. This adds to the aesthetic appeal of the Ripple Jade plant. When properly cared for, it can grow into a rounded shrub up to 3 to 4 ft in height.

HEALTH BENEFITS

The Ripple Jade plant improves the oxygen level and humidity of any home or office.

LOOKING AFTER THE PLANT

To keep the leaves of your Ripple Jade vibrant and pretty, keep your plant in a brightly lit space, but don’t let it be scorched by the sun. Also, make sure that your plant is at a comfortable temperature. Extremes of temperature can damage the cells of your plant and create scars in your plant’s leaves. Plant your Curly Jade in fast-draining soil, and make sure to provide proper water drainage to avoid overwatering. Your plant will usually give you a sign when it needs a drink. If the top 2 inches of the soil is already dry or if the leaves start to wrinkle, that means your plant needs watering. Just like other succulents, the plant doesn’t need to be fed except when they look pale or unhealthy. Another helpful tip is to bundle up your Ripple Jade. They thrive better in crowded pots as it improves the humidity of their environment.

PLANT CARE WITH PETS AND CHILDREN

The Ripple Jade is toxic to animals and humans, so always make sure your plant is in a hard-to-reach place.
