Product Overview

Lunaria is one of the many award-winning brands that make up the farming cooperative Cantina Orsogna. This cooperative has its roots in sustainability, biodynamic practices, respecting the land, and helping local communities. Lunaria’s Coste di Moro Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is so definitive of the area, right down to the traditional rope-bound seal.

The Montepulciano grape is native and truly synonymous with the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo region. This is a biodynamic wine that uses only native wild yeasts to ferment the grapes before aging. Medium-bodied and velvety, with aromas of red fruit, followed by that dynamic duo of cherry and chocolate on the palate. It is light enough that it would certainly be sippable on its own, but would also make a wonderful pairing for pizza night!

Ingredients

Made using 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. Contains Sulfites.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is biodynamic wine healthier?

Biodynamic wine is certainly the answer for those who are trying to avoid ingesting chemical pesticides. And sure, the lower sulfite content is great for those who are particularly sensitive to them, and could also mean you feel less of the effects the next morning. However, the true benefits of supping biodynamic wine are environmental. Biodynamic farming focuses heavily on ecological sustainability and maintaining healthy soil through natural processes. This, in turn, has a beneficial impact on the surrounding wildlife and the communities involved. Cheers to change!
