‘Pancake's! We all remember that the best mornings were the ones that started with hearing that magical word shouted from the kitchen. The legends at King Arthur know this better than anyone. They have harnessed the excitement of morning pancakes, and made them even more appealing (if that’s even possible!) by making this pancake mix quick to mix and easy to make. This bag of gluten-free-goodness is a blessing for vegans and coeliac alike, containing only simple, delicious ingredients, without compromising on taste!
Directions to make 5 pancakes
whisk 1½ tbs oil or butter-alternative, 3-4 tbs of egg-alternative, and ⅔ cup of non-dairy milk (we recommend whole oat milk for a really rich, slightly nutty taste!). When blended, whisk through 1 cup of King Arthur pancake mix. Leave this mixture to sit for 10 minutes so it can thicken to the perfect consistency to make 4″ pancakes. Once thickened, pour ¼ cup at a time onto a lightly greased griddle or skillet. Leave the pancakes until bubbles start to form, then flip (do it with some flare, we dare you!) and leave for another 1-2 minutes, until lightly browned.
Wholegrain Brown Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Tapioca Starch, Rice Flour, Cane Sugar, Baking Powder (Baking Soda, Calcium Acid Pyrophosphate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Natural Flavors, Salt, Vitamin and Mineral Blend [Calcium Carbonate, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Reduced Iron, Thiamin Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)], Xanthan Gum.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have any serving suggestions?
Do we?! You name it, we’ve tried it. Whether you’re a topping person or a put-it-in-the-mix person (or both!), King Arthur’s pancake mix is perfect for making a breakfast which is both quick and delicious. How about grabbing a banana, mashing up a bit to put in the mix, and then slicing up the rest as a healthy, fibrous topping? Strawberries, raspberries and blueberries also make fantastic toppings, and putting some blueberries in the mix makes for a fab color and taste sensation. If you’re after something a bit sweeter, why not sprinkle a few vegan chocolate chips into the mix, and then chuck some on the top too? Maple syrup also makes for a sweet topping, drizzled over fruit, or even on its own. Enjoy!
