Product Overview
Third-generation winemaker Bernard was originally working in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine region with his brother Jo, but moved to the area of Ancenis, on the northern slopes of the Loire Valley, in 2002. It was here that he was joined by his son Benoît in 2008, after his completion of a degree in viticulture and enology. Organic winemaking soon followed in 2010.
This region of the Loire Valley benefits from mild temperatures and a light sea breeze which helps to reduce humidity.
And what an expression of the terroir this terrific tipple is! An organic and biodynamic Muscadet, crafted from 100% Melon de Bourgogne and aged on lees for 6 months in concrete tanks. Expect the usual citrusy notes, but also those of white peach, and an outstanding freshness and salinity that comes from such mineral-rich soils.
Domaine Landron Chartier makes a perfect aperitif, served chilled with a few canapes. In this case, freshness fancies freshness, so dishes such as summer salads or artichokes with vinaigrette would also make a marvelous match.
Ingredients
Made from 100% Melon de Bourgogne.
