This bold wine is dryish to the taste but retains a silky smooth mouthfeel softened further by its low acidity. Big spicy aromas hit the nose and leave as soon as they arrive. First to hit the palate are notes of plum, blueberry, and dark fruits that accentuate this deep violet bottle of wine. Oaky vanilla undertones are next to come through, with caramel flecks hitting the roof of the mouth.
An earthy aftertaste with leathery notes comes through slowly but evaporate fast, leaving one with an oh-so pleasant, generally grounded sensation. A dry but very polished finish. This is a bottle made with love. Paul and Kellye Manual have roots in Cornwall, England. Their great-grandparents brought their knowledge of the land to the Gold Country to the village of Chacewater. When a devastating fire ravaged the land they bought, Paul and Kellye decided to follow their dream of turning the land into a vineyard and we are so glad they did.
