Imagine yourself in Spain. Think of the warm sun, breathtaking views, and sweet air. This is the perfect moment to open a chilled bottle of Saiar Albariño. The fruity notes echo the apple, peach, and nectarine trees scattered across the rolling hills, outlined by the afternoon sun.
Benito Santos are respected winemakers, with an important place in wine history. Benito Santos himself produced exceptional wines while fighting for recognition of the Albariño grape. In 1965, the mayor of Cambados convinced Santos to set up a wine store at the Cambados Albariño Festival, one of the first to ever do so.
The 500 bottles sold out in only four hours; an allegory to the vision of the winemaker, and how they were able to grow a grape that produces some of the best white wines in the world. The grapes are characterized by their bright yellow color and pale green glow. They have a balanced and unique acidity, on account of the exceptional vineyard location, alongside floral and fruity aromas.
