ABOUT MONSTERA DELICIOSA
Philodendron Monstera Deliciosa, AKA the Swiss Cheese Plant, is a hugely popular ornamental plant that originates in Central and South America. The common name of this plant comes from the holes that develop in the large heart shaped leaves as the plant grows, which give it a unique look and help it cast visually striking shadows.
The Monstera Deliciosa is available in two sizes:
The 6” pot has a combined height of 22”.
The 10” pot has a combined height of 48”-56”.
As a tropical plant, the Monstera Deliciosa likes bright light but too much direct sunlight can be harmful. It also prefers high humidity and will do better with filtered water or water that has been left out overnight.
Common pests can be dealt with using neem oil and regular wiping down, and the temperature should not go below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Taking care of a plant can be beneficial for your mental health, and the large leaves of Monstera Deliciosa are especially good at producing oxygen. Misting its leaves to keep it happy will increase the room’s humidity, helping reduce dry skin problems!
LOOKING AFTER THE PLANT
Water the Monstera Deliciosa when the top two inches have dried out, and don’t water so often that the soil stays soaked for long periods. Mist the leaves in the morning if your home has dry air to replicate the tropical atmosphere.
PLANT CARE WITH PETS AND CHILDREN
Monstera Deliciosa can cause digestive upset and will irritate the mouth if ingested. Keep it away from curious pets and children.
