Whether or not non-vegetarians are healthier as compared to vegans is a much-debated topic. I do not think there is a right or wrong answer to this question. I presume that it depends on what sorts of food items one eats. I feel that following a non-vegetarian diet is better for health in some regards, but being on a plant-based diet is relatively better in many other regards. For instance, my intuition tells me that the latter diet can make one leaner, and consequently, healthier.
Of course, you may look at countless studies that make arguments for and against non-vegetarianism or veganism. But I feel that everyone’s body responds to diets differently. So, in my opinion, one way to tell whether your eating patterns promote good health is to understand how your body reacts to the diet.
