No, Paul Rudd is not vegan, I thought the same thing! He’s said in interviews that he tries to include more plant-based meals into his diet, and tries to stick to Meatless Mondays because he’s trying to reduce his meat consumption.
Rumors circulated about Paul Rudd being vegan because he’s been known to enjoy vegan smoothies on movie sets and even chose the vegan cauliflower hot wings when he was a guest on the youtube series Hot Ones.
He was asked if his choice on the episode of Hot Ones meant he was vegan, but he cleared it up on instagram by saying that at the moment he’s just trying to add more plant-based foods into his diet to reduce his consumption of animal products. In short: Paul Rudd is not fully vegan or vegetarian, but he’s certainly making an admirable choice by adding in Meatless Mondays and more plant-based meals to his weekly schedule.
Paul Rudd is not vegan. Plant-based eaters and his followers started doubting whether Paul Rudd is vegan from the day Paul Rudd showed up on the show Hot ones and requested for cauliflower wings in place of chicken wings. It is not an everyday thing for someone to ask for cauliflower wings, an uncommon alternative on that show and no wonder it became a topic for discussion on social media.
Rudd gave a clarification later that he was not a vegan but was trying to eat a more plant-based diet. He said that he hasn’t quit eating meat completely but wants to reduce its intake. According to Live Kindly, plant based food has been a norm in Paul Rudd’s diet. While filming the Ant-man in 2015, he would drink shakes made with bananas, almond milk and almond butter.
